A step-by-step plan for clearing an entire house in Fort Worth — sorting, timing, donation, and what to have ready before the crew arrives.

1. Decide what stays

Walk every room — including garage, attic and sheds — and mark items that are staying, going to family or being sold.

2. Handle sensitive items

Remove documents, photos, medications, firearms and valuables before any crew arrives.

3. Separate restricted materials

Paint, chemicals, fuels and propane tanks generally can't go in a standard load. Set them aside for proper disposal.

4. Get photos-based quotes

Photograph each room and storage area. Note stairs, attic access and parking.

5. Plan the day

Make sure someone can grant access and answer questions. Large homes may be split over two visits.

Donation

Usable furniture may be donated when the receiving organization accepts it. Donation depends on condition and local demand on the day.

6. Final walk-through

Before the crew leaves, walk every room, closet, attic and shed with them. Check cabinets and drawers, confirm nothing marked to stay was taken, and note anything left that still needs to go. If a listing photographer or buyer walk-through is scheduled, leave a day of margin in case a second pickup is needed.

Next step

Send a few photos. Get a real price.

Same-day and next-day service depend on crew schedule, job size and access. Availability is confirmed when you book.
